This widespread "maths trauma" creates a cycle of fear, avoidance, and self-doubt. But real learning begins with healing these old mindsets. Veronika, a lifelong mathematician and educator, believes "being bad at maths" is a myth. Her "Yes, you can" approach has empowered countless students of all ages and abilitiesĀ ā both in Scotland, where she lives, and across Britain, Europe, and beyond.
Intrigued by the common perception that "maths is difficult", Veronika investigated this further.
